The price of the tour starts from 950 Euros per person

Apulia is the region of the South of Italy, well known for its excellent cuisine. Our food and wine tour is not only a special occasion to rest your mind, enjoy the atmosphere of our masseria and visit interesting places , but also taste the flavors of the finest medieval and organic recipes, fruit of a centuries-old culinary tradition. We will take you to the selected places of production, delighting your palate with our excellent organic extra virgin olive oils, cheeses and DOP cooked meats, fresh and wild vegetables, meats cooked  'al fornello'.
We will not miss the special wines for which Apulia is well known: Salento is the land of quality wine production; a food and wine tour in Apulia let you discover its secrets.

Day 1: Transfer from Bari or Brindisi airport. Arrival at Masseria Il Frantoio within 14h, welcome drink. Transfer to a warm farmhouse at the foot of the Murgia between Ostuni and Fasano to know and taste the local cheeses, prepared using traditional methods.Transfer to Ostuni for a relaxing visit of the 'white city' and its historic centre, characteristic for the charming alleys to explore until you reach the Cathedral.Return to the masseria. Special dinner on the basis of different wild, organic, medieval courses including great Apulian wines, olive oil tasting and 'rosoli'. Overnight stay.

Day 2: Continental breakfast buffet with jams tasting. Transfer to Grottaglie to visit a workroom where one of the most experienced artisans will show us his artistic pottery works. Transfer to Martina Franca, better known as the authentic baroque village where Valle d’Itria Festival takes place in summertime. Stop at the famous Butcher Romanelli for the tasting of fine cooked meats, including the Capocollo DOP and tasting of local wines.
Free visit to admire the architecture of the historic centre.
Along the picturesque Valle d’ Itria, we will stop in Alberobello (UNESCO HERITAGE) visiting the trulli. We will continue to Polignano a Mare to visit the old village and its famous terraces overlooking the sea.
Transfer to Cisternino (UNESCO HERITAGE) and dinner at one of the delicious rotisseries, offering authentic cuisine of Apulia and famous for the cooked meats 'al fornello'. Return to the masseria and overnight stay.

Day 3: Continental breakfast buffet. Transfer to Lecce and guided tour of the old town to admire its magnificent baroque architecture. Lunch at a cozy 'osteria', renowned for its excellent traditional dishes of Salento. Relaxing tour of the town and then transfer to Guagnano to visit one of the best wineries producing fine Chardonnay, Negroamaro, Primitivo wines. Return to the masseria, free evening and overnight stay.

Day 4: Continental breakfast buffet. Departure to Castel del Monte and guided tour of the charming building of the XIII century, built by Federico II of Svevia. It is part of the list of national monuments and those of Italian heritage by Unesco. Transfer to a biodynamic farm to visit and taste lunch on the basis of excellent recipes of the place and even its great wines. Transfer to Trani for a guided tour in the historic centre and the majestic Cathedral that overlooks the sea. Return to the masseria, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Continental breakfast buffet. Guided tour of the farm. Departure transfer to Bari or Brindisi airport.

Number of participants: from 4 to 6 people.
The starting price refers to the total cost per person, tax included.

• Transport in a cross-over 7 seats throughout the tour
• Friendly member of the Il Frantoio team throughout the tour
• Accommodation in Classic double / twin room
• Bed and breakfast, 2 dinners in masseria on the basis of specialties from Apulia
