In the 2009 edition of The Slow Food Olive Oil Guide Leccina was considered one of Italy’s finest extra-virgin oils. Out of all the olive varieties we planted 15 years ago the Leccina olive has adapted most successfully to our unique micro-climate.
In our blind panel tests Leccina consistently emerges as the tastiest and most well balanced of all our oils, even from the very beginning when the olives were very young. Coming from only one variety of olive is also an extremely considerable factor.
It is a delightful emerald green colour and is exceptionally aromatic. Particularly good for hot soups, vegetables and legumes.
